Sarah has been around horses from a very early age. Originally growing up in Pony Club and then eventing, Sarah got in to racing in Australia working for Gai Waterhouse in Sydney and Paul Messara at Arrowfield Training Centre. Sarah works in the yard and runs the office on a day to day basis alongside Dave. She is extremely passionate about horses and says she often prefers to spend time with the horses than with Dave!
Our Head Lass, Sarah Taylor has a lifetime of experience with horses from racing to stud work. Sarah worked at Mickley Stud for a number of years as Stud Manager and whilst there, won the prestigious Godolphin Stud Staff Award. Sarah now very ably manages the yard here at Helshaw Grange.

Jack is an enthusiastic member of the team and is quickly learning and developing his skills in racing. Jack has a family history in racing and a great passion for the sport.
What Steve doesn’t know about horse racing probably isn’t worth knowing! Steve has a great wealth of experience in racing being a top amateur rider and grand national winning trainer. At 70 years young Steve still rides 4 or 5 lots out a day from yearlings to the keenest of horses and his knowledge is invaluable.
Jonny has a vast amount of riding experience having worked for a number of trainers, most recently Nicky Henderson and Guillaume Macaire in France. Jonny is an excellent horseman and a very valuable member of the team.
Michelle has her own transport business and does the majority of racing for us. Michelle has grown up in racing and is the queen of Best Turned Out! We would be lost without her.
Will is our farrier who has a wealth of experience. Will specialises in racehorses and corrective work within the racing industry and is a valuable member of the team.
Claire comes to us every week to treat our horses. She uses McTimoney-Corley therapy which is a chiropractic spinal manipulation technique, which brings the horse's body back into alignment and relieve any associated pain or discomfort. Claire works wonders on the horses and makes a significant contribution towards their improved performance.
